Thank you for your interest in the Paralegal Certificate Program.
The University of Miami Paralegal Certificate Program is a comprehensive non-credit program for those exploring a career in the legal field. Unlike similar programs at other schools and institutions, our curriculum concentrates on the skills needed to become a professional working paralegal.
The Paralegal Certificate is best suited for individuals seeking to enter the legal field as paralegals, and our curriculum provides valuable exposure for potential law school applicants. Through a combination of exercises, case studies, knowledge checks, and practice exams, students will gain proficiency in a wide range of core paralegal functions.
The program’s instructors are seasoned professionals—attorneys, judges, and magistrates who have demonstrated top-notch teaching ability and expertise in their subject matter.
The program offers extensive study support, resources, interactive videos and labs, and learning reinforcement tools to supplement areas of focus.
The Paralegal Certificate Program offers access to WestLaw and LexisNexis for one full year.
Students in the University of Miami Paralegal Certificate Program have up to six months to complete the Essential Skills module and three substantive courses while working individually with an instructor.
The Paralegal Certificate online program is offered at the start of each month. Students can enroll in any month, January through December.
